Mahan Signs was founded by Charles Mahan in Watertown, NY in 1946. Charlie was just 16 years old. He was a self-taught artist and had an exceptional talent for drawing and painting.
Charlie moved Mahan Signs to LIverpool, NY in 1957. While running Mahan Signs, he was also the commercial artist for the Ward Baking Company, White Signs and Pepsi-Cola. Mahan Signs was one of the first in Syracuse to automate using computers and machines to manufacture signs. Charlie continued to run Mahan Signs until his death on July 5th, 2011.
